Even though, our wedding isn’t really a ‘themed’ wedding, I am a huge fan of vintage influences. My dress, (which was a complete shocker for me, as it is the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted, which was open back, lace, fish-tail) is 1930′s inspired. Old Hollywood Glamour is how the lady in the shop described it, so I decided I’d run with that as my/our inspiration.
Rob, before becoming ‘mature student’ managed a designer menswear shop for 10 years, and he never, ever looks less than dapper and he loves the old school look, so I have no doubt at all that he will be the beau of the ball at this shin dig.
Anyhoo, with this vintagey-themed-themeless-wedding we decided to go for these as our ‘save the dates’ from Zazzle.co.uk. I was needlessly worried about the quality of these, they were gorgeous. We sealed the envelope with a stick on faux pearl and off to the post office they went. Hurrah.
If you like this you must have a look at http://www.pieceofcakehq.co.uk/ for favours and other wedding things. Everything on there is so adorable it makes me cross I’m already married! I want to do it again!
Thanks for the tip knittymummy, I’ll let you know if I get anything.xxx
